In the floor-standing speaker system 801 D4 Signature, optimized technologies are used, including the crucial diamond dome tweeter, upper tweeter unit with a monolithic housing, completely new tweeter grille, and upgraded crossover.
Diamond Dome Tweeters
This ultra-rigid high-precision diamond dome tweeter, perfectly combining lightweight, exceptional rigidity, and unrivaled accuracy, is one of our most significant achievements in the past two decades. Even after fifteen years since its initial release, no better technology has been found for a dome tweeter.
Tweeter in Massive Housing
The latest incarnation of the iconic top tweeter in a massive housing features a longer loading tube and an entirely new grille design optimized for even freer and more open high-frequency sound.
For the 801 D4 Signature series, the signature Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top housing was upgraded. It now has an elongated shape with extended resonant tubes in the rear chamber. Additionally, the tweeter grille has been improved, resulting in even freer and more open high-frequency sound.
Optimized Crossover
The 800 Signature Series model uses a modernized crossover design installed behind on rigid aluminum supports. This isolates sensitive capacitors from unwanted air pressure inside the cabinet and ensures very efficient cooling during operation.
Aluminum Top Panel
All new 800 Signature Series models feature significantly improved cabinets with a new, optimized aluminum top plate for increased rigidity. Exclusive Connolly leather is used for panel finishes. The Midnight Blue Metallic finish features luxurious textured blue leather, while the California Burl Gloss finish features textured black leather.
